Letter from Jackie Flynn, creator of the Art of Repair Card Deck, with her illustrated portrait
A note from the creator

Hey there,

I made this deck as a play-based clinical tool for the therapy room. It is for moments when something has been strained or broken, and the work is about making sense of what happened and finding a path forward.

"If a card opens something important, stay with it. If it doesn't, let it rest. The deck will still be here."

These cards can be integrated into EMDR, play therapy, talk therapy, family work, or other clinical approaches. What matters is how they support honesty, connection, and the possibility of restoration.

Questions

Good to know

What format do I receive the deck in?

You'll receive a print-ready PDF you can download instantly after checkout. Print it at home, take it to a local print shop, or order it through a professional printing service.

Is this a substitute for therapy?

No. This deck is a clinical tool meant to support reflection, projection, sorting, or resourcing within a therapeutic relationship. It is not therapy itself, and isn't a substitute for working with a trusted professional.

Which modalities does it work with?

The deck was designed to integrate easily into EMDR, play therapy, talk therapy, and family work — but it's flexible enough to support whatever approach you already use.

Is there a "right" way to use the cards?

There isn't. Repair doesn't follow a straight line, and a single card can hold different meanings for a client depending on where they are in the work.
