Welcome from Jackie
Hi there,
I’m really glad you’re here.
This course sits at the intersection of attachment, nervous system regulation, and relationship repair. It’s for clinicians who understand that healing does not happen in isolation, and that for children especially, regulation and meaning are built in the context of relationship.
In this training, we’ll explore how EMDR can be used within family and dyadic contexts to strengthen parent child connection and increase the capacity for co regulation after rupture. Grounded in the Adaptive Information Processing model and informed by play therapy and attachment science, the focus is on what happens between people. How patterns of interaction organize experience. How safety is negotiated moment by moment. And how new relational experiences can be supported without overwhelming the nervous system.
We’ll pay close attention to the rhythms of engagement and repair. To how caregivers can be involved in preparation, resourcing, and selected phases of reprocessing in ways that protect the child’s voice and safety. And to how EMDR phase fidelity can be maintained while working in the complexity of real relationships.
This is not about fixing families or pushing for insight. It’s about creating the conditions where regulation, connection, and meaning can emerge together. Where parents are supported in being present. Where children feel felt. And where repair becomes possible because the nervous systems in the room can settle enough to allow it.
My hope is that this course helps you slow down, observe more clearly, and feel more confident in how you work with attachment within EMDR. Not by doing more, but by attuning more deeply to the relational field in front of you.
I’m glad you’re here, and I’m looking forward to learning together.
Warmly,
Jackie
